2006 Triple Crown Tuner Challenge (MidOhio)
Time is drawing near for the ONLY Hyundai-sponsored Tiburon tuner meet in the United States. June 23-25 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, Ohio. The third annual Triple Crown Tuner Challenge.
The Triple Crown Tuner Challenge shares the raceway with the EMCO Gears Classic, part of the Grand American Road Racing Association's Rolex Sports Car Series.
The Triple Crown Tuner Challenge pits tuners, in a variety of segments, in style, audio and performance competitions. The performance competitions are done on the Mid-Ohio raceway, considered one of the best tracks in North America. There will be six classes (4 cylinder, 4 cylinder forced induction, 6 cylinder, 6 cylinder forced induction, 8+ cylinder, 8+ cylinder forced induction). This way, there's plenty of opportunities to take home trophies.
The participant with the best cumulative score in the three contests is named "King of the Streets." Hyundai Tiburon owners have claimed the last two titles at Mid-Ohio !!!
Speaking of trophies, Hyundai also conducts its own internal style competition, with trophies for first, second and third places.
For loyal Tiburon owners, Hyundai will be rolling out the red carpet. All car owners will gain free admittance to the three-day event which automatically enrolls them in the style competition. Other freebies include: Hyundai t-shirts, SEMA posters and complimentary dinner on Saturday night.
Also, for the first time, there will be a raffle for all Hyundai owners, with vehicles involved in the Triple Crown Tuner Challenge. To be eligible, your car must be on the premises. The prizes this year include:
