What is needed to safely run a 150 wet shot?
I figure the basic wet system, injectors, Eclipse GST fuel pump, plugs & wires, a lean shut off switch and maybe a progressive controller. What else?
Would a 150 put way too much stress on the engine if its progressive controlled, considering your doubling the engine hp or would it be fine as long as you have the proper fuel supply?
Oh, and I would need a good clutch that could handle 300+ hp too, which would be fine when spraying but it would suck daily driving (not spraying) with that type of an agressive clutch or if you were stuck in stop & go traffic.

You need a direct port, and plenty of self control at the least. You also need to make sure that 100-150 happens well above 4krpm.

You'd need to build the motor to run that kind of shot. Like im sure the motor would handle it,,,,once. And as JonGTR mentioned you'll need a direct port kit. Single nozzle systems don't work that great on anything more than a 75shot. They also don't like long IM runners. And you'll need a timing retard with a big shot as well

You can't get a 150hp shot into a 140hp engine without forced induction. It's not happening. My intake underflows the nitrous at 75.

direct port kit for sure, colder plugs, maybe somthing to retard timing a little, good fuel pump. injectors are not needed as your supplying the fuel needed for the extra power with the nitrous kti already.
good clutch and wideband. A lean shut-down switch is highly recommended as well as a wot/window switch setup. dont want to be spraying while your trying to shift unless you want to run over your crankshaft while driving.

I can't find volumetric equations for nitrous. What he is asking is for nitrous oxide to contain more then 200% more oxygen then the air we breathe. This would be very dependent on heat. As far as I'm aware you get about 150% more oxygen then standard air(21% by volume).

am in this situation myself. I have the build motor ready for turbo but I went nitrous for the meanwhile. I am currently running a 50-70 shot but I have a automatic switch to open the bottle. Unfortunately that thing sucks and is not reliable @ all as it doesnt work @ times.....so am going to have to switch to manuel bottle opener and be a lot safer. I was planning to run 150 shot of NOS myself all I need is my 255 walbro and am set. As far as a tune I read and been told that its not necessary...

Whoever told you that is retarded. A new tune is always necessary when throwing more power into a tuned motor. You need to pull timing.

DTN, you say "My intake underflows the nitrous at 75" can you explain this please. How does the engine react?
I contacted Holley for the jet set up for a 75 shot and was told "nitrous 36 fuel 24"(which is in mine at the moment), but everywhere I look online either says nitrous 41 fuel 26 or nitrous 36 fuel 18. Well I've run the 36/18 setup and melted a plug The guy who replied from Holley said the 36/18 setup was "way too lean" although tbh it felt fantastic to drive whereas now it lacks the kick big time and feels washed out. Do I need the bigger jet setup? Should the timing be retarded for a 75 shot? Also would a Tib cope with a 100 shot or is that going too big??
