What is the difference between wet and dry...
is there one that's better for our cars?

which would you prefer/recommend?
I'm a newbie on this subject, so be as elementary on your explanation as possible.

wet...
less likely for you to go boom
wink1.gif

a wet kit supplies its own fuel by tapping into the fuel lines
a dry relies on your stock injectors

Your stock injectors can only take so much...

After 3 kits,... NX is the only kit i recommend...

I agree with him... wet system is best for 4cyl cars and NX is much better for the money than NOS and the others

AllBlackTibby 08-17-2003 10:17 PM

But with a wet system, don't you run the risk of fuel pooling up somewhere in the intake, thus going boom?

All mods listen up!!!!

i truely don't understand how the wet kit taps into the fuel lines. does it have like a Y adaptor where the nitrous and fuel injector meet or what? i need pics plez!

Slow 2 Cruise

it taps into the fuel line going to the fuel rail with a T

ok kids here we go.. since jason wants pics here are some pics... since my kit isnt installed just yet

this is the whole kit obviously

http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...98_69_full.jpg here is the T-connector although it looks like a "Y" to me.

http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...98_70_full.jpg here are the mounting brackets, nitrous lines and other misc crap like the cool switch although when i get my APC steeeeeeering wheel with the NAWWWWWWWZZZZZz buttons on them i wont need that.. j/k

smile.gif if you need bigger pictures hit me up on aim at Tiburon 2NR

Jaws021 09-25-2003 11:21 AM

thats not the t man...lol

Its the fogger nozzle that goes into the elbow that sprays the NAWZ

The T is the part that taps into the fuel line...
Thanx for the pictures... this will help explain future questions that may be asked

Yes, with a wet kit you DO have a chance of puddling in the manifold. That's only if you run too much nitrous at too low of an rpm. A direct port kit will keep the fuel from puddling in the manifold because it bypasses the log and sprays directly into the chambers.

Lets say your running a 50 shot. That same shot would act like a 100 shot at 2k rpms vs. 4k rpms because twice the amount of nitrous is entering your chambers per stroke.

Jaws021 10-08-2003 12:55 PM

jon is right...

This is why you must not go higher than an 80 shot via fogger nozzle...
Anything higher and you must convert to a direct port system

If you puddle the manifold you will more than likely have a nitrous backfire...
If that happens... kiss your maf goodbye

The maf is a highly sensitive sensor... an explosion of that magnitude WILL damage it.
