Every time I boost some Nitrous, I have to clean my MAF sensor afterwards. My assumption is the nitrous and fuel gets on the MAF sensor and leaves a residue.

I think I'm running rich after using nitrous from the smell of my exhaust, not too rich, but richer then normal. It drives a bit differently and sounds a bit better though. Kinda wierd, you'd think it would be running lean if the MAF was dirty. Either way, it's kinda a pain to stop the car, get the flathead screw driver, pop the hood, undo two hose clamps, pull out the MAF, spray it down with electronics cleaner, wait 1 minute, then reinstall close it up and put away my screwdriver.

I'd like to find a way to keep my MAF clean, or see if anyone has any good MAF cleaning suggestions.

BTW... In this picture you can see the nitrous injector and the MAF sensor. It's not 'TOO' close.

There's a way which is uninstall your nitrous setup and be done with the cleaning MAF stuff.
Or put those injectors on the intake manifold area.

You cannot put the injector in the intake manifold. It must be 4-6" from the TB according to the manufacturer. It is aproximately 5".

I dont remember exactly how it looks in person but is the nozzle kind of perpindicular to the piping or does it angle towards the throttle body? Try to just make it shoot right in there and hopefully none will even get to the MAF. And otherwise it looks like the only other thing you could do is redo the CAI and move the MAF further away.

It's angled correctly... I'm thinking about putting a turbinator between the MAF and the nitrous injector elbow, that would at least keep SOME particals from getting on the MAF. Maybe some sort of deflector to shoot it at the walls instead of the actual sensor? Any ideas?

From the pictures & knowing NOTHING about nitrous, it looks like it could be remedied by pointing the jets toward the tb rather than toward the maf as you have now. Just think about all the pressure coming out there. Even with air moving towards the tb your shooting the nitrous right onto the maf.

You need to have your injection bung angled towards your TB. Simple as that.

It its angled towards flow, it will never spray the MAF.

And if you put that turbinator in your intake, you should just stop modding your car. nana.gif

The nozzel has a 90 degree fan on the end of it which sprays it towards the TB.

OK, but how about you ANGLE it towards the TB, obviously the fan isn't working enough.

I feel like whenever you post threads about stuff people always tell you things, and you never listen, you jsut defend yourself and tell everyone they are wrong....why ask for advice if you are going to do it your own way anyway?
