Hi I am thinking about setting up with hard lines. I work in a plant where we use tubing to feed all our instrumentation and controllers. We use 1/4 and 1/2 inch tubing. I see that the normal nitrous tubing sizes are generally 1/8 and 3/16. Can I go with 1/4 inch lines on my setup and what troubles could I run into?

I'm guessing it would only lead to slower fill times when the valve is open, and greater waste when the system is purged. Not so much you'd notice, but if you ran calculations. I can't think of any other reasons besides cost why you wouldn't use larger lines.

depends on the pressure and flowrate required. as stocker suggested, i doubt it matters much. you are going to reduce the pressure a bit, but the way i see it try it and see if you are happy with the results. if not, you can always switch out the tubing later.
