I was wondering the same thing! I thought about getting it once... but I know nothing about it. What are some pros (minus the extreme HP gains) and some cons? :?:

From what I understand, our cars are usually good for a DRY shot (no added fuel) of about 60hp, as our cars run rich from the factory.. This SHOULDNT hurt the engine.. If you want more than that, you should do a WET shot (added fuel nozzle to intake usually) to supply the engine w/ enough fuel not to lean it out.. The reason NOS kills engine, is that its not used properly.. If you spray too much w/out adding fuel, you lean the car out and it will tear your pistons and cylinders apart.. Ive also read that installing a larger fuel pump is suggesting when using a dry kit w/ a FPR to help supply the engine w/ enough fuel, although its not mandatory..

im going to disagree here. And I know JonGTR and Jaws will agree with me its best to go with a wet kit. All 3 of us had at one point nitrous on our Tiburons. What I recommend is going with NX and run a 50 shot to start out with. Other things you should pick up new park plugs that are at least 1 step colder. As well as a fuel pump out of a 95-99 FWD Turbo DSM. Thats an Eclipse GS-T or Eagle Talon TSi FWD. Oh yeah look at the DIY section for a supplement for the NX install.

usually people that blow up have dry kits..

Most accidents happen when people start spraying near the redline or continue spray once they bounce off of it..
Another frequent way of blowing up is that fuel pressure hose that most dry kits love to use.

I suggest an NX kit.. plus it will allow you to be slightly more flexible as far as a higher shot and its relation to other mods.

wet kit is a good start, cheap mod for the hp gains if done right and with tuning is very hard to toast an engine.

instead of NOS to abbreviate it you could just say N2O. tongue.gif
and then you can be lazy and non-ricer like at the same time

I wasn't even talkin to you, you didn't start this thread. But now I see that you say it too. Even before F&F came along, it's STILL wrong.

NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems. A company that makes Nitrous Oxide Systems.

Neat eh?
