Default nitrous in the lines, how long should it stay?

how long should the nitrous stay in the lines when my bottle is closed? should it slowly leak out?

Ideally it shouldn't leak at all. Practically I would not be surprised to see pressure somewhat less after a few days, especially with dramatic temperature changes over that time.



(this from someone who used to work with various deadly gases which we were very sure never, ever leaked)
