Nitrous Installation Diagrams !
Hey ppl.. i've just added many diagrams on my website... i wanted to show people how to do their own electrical work and make it look nice... i've put diagrams for hooking up a RELAY, and how to wire the nitrous electrical parts, i've even put diagrams that show how to connect the nitrous solenoids properly and how to installa single wet fogger nitrous kit.

I guess thats why i'm a teacher (MSCE, CISCO, A+, N+).. smile.gif
if i help out at least 1 person with my website.. i'll feel gratified for all the hard work and $$ for the server and static ip/domain name and all that..., thanks for your post smile.gif
It would be nice if i could get my site linked from somewhere on the tsr main page... it would be so cool !!!

hey whats up, its kewl that your into computers. smile.gif
well, i have a basic wet nitrous kit.
i put it together myself, if you want to see how i did it, i put diagrams of the entire setup on my website... its listed below on my profile...
i wanted a way to get more power , fast, cheep, and reliably.. i didnt want a loud fart cant that sounds like a lawn mower on steroids like all the honda people have...
so of course.. nitrous is the only answer.
to summarize how i did it.. here goes...
1. I bought an edelbrock WET carbuerator nitrous system complete with bottle new for $350 from my local speed shop.
2. i bought a NOS Fogger nozzle.
3. i threw away the carbuerator plate.
5. i bought an MSD inline EFI fuel pump and a relay to hook it up.
6. i bought a NOS purge valve kit.
7. i bought a bottle pressure guage and a bottle heater.
8. i hooked it up to the throttle switch, and a manual switch inline with eachother.
9. i bought some NGK spark plugs that are ONE stage colder than stock.
10. i bought two jets.. one size 41 for nitrous, one size 26 for fuel. that is exactly 70HP jetting.
I spent ONE afternoon installing it, and i tested it out and everything is perfect.
i've already gone through an entire bottle, it lasts over 15 full races.
the car is like a jeckel and hyde.. its totally stock and fuel efficient and a great daily driver.. but all i have to do is squeeze the trigger and pedal to the metal and i can rip all those hondas in half.

i will say this not as a bad thing about the zex or any other dry kit... but this is my opinion...
the dry kits are not actually so much easier to install than a wet kit..
i dont like the fact that the dry kits force the stock fuel pumps to 80psi.. with a wet kit, you retain the stock fuel pressure and this keeps the stock injectors from possibly locking up under load.. at 80 psi, a stock injector may lock up because its valve may be forced shut due to the excessive pressure at which it was not designed to operate under....
also, if you hit the rev limiter with a dry kit, the ecu reduces the injector pulse width.. what happens??? LEAN CONDITION AND KABOOM ! BYE BYE ENGINE... with a wet kit, if you hit the rev limiter, it wont matter much becuse youve already got the required fuel being added via the fogger nozzle and it will not hurt anything. smile.gif
i like wet kits because they are more reliable. also, you can run more nitrous without having to change the stock injectors, and that alone saves you TONS of money and it keeps the car drivable and fuel efficient when not on the nitrous smile.gif
well, regards.... i hope this answered your question.

one more thing, i am a beleiver in the SLEEPER approach. when some ricer pulls up next to me and he cant even hear my engine running... he has no clue about the power i've got at the push of a button.. more power than his engine/turbo may have... and lets say i dont have more power.. the elantra weighs in at just under 2600lb !!! now that is VERY light, so power to weight advantage plays a big role in going fast.
thats how i've been able to defeat cars that have more power than me... even with the nitrous..
