I'm actually looking into nitrous for my 2k auto Tib. I have AEM CAI, RSide 4-2-1, and a Motoria Catback all lined up. I know of SuPaDuPa who's running a 75 shot on the auto tranny and that thing runs 14's. I'm looking for something a little more MILD, that'll work with my setup and also give me good times. A lot of people suggest WET kits, is it because they're safer? Any suggestions? How much power do you think a 50-55 shot would give me?

Thanks.

I dont know much about nitrous. Why not invest that $$ into a 5spd swap?

50 shot will give you roughly 50 fly wheel hp, depending on manufacturer of the jets.

Auto tib with I/H/E and 50 shot might run mid-low 15s... I was doing that without nitrous in my 5sp tib. Swap the tranny man!

Been through most of this five hundred times.

Get an NX wet kit. Wet kit injects fuel with nitrous, dry kits bump up fuel pressure. Wet kits are more safe. Direct port would be even better. NX wet kit = ~50 to the wheels with a 50 shot.

And don't say NOS (AKA NAWWWWWWZ) in your title ever again. tongue.gif

If you plan on going nitrous as an alternative to a turbo set-up, I'd say do your research and get it done right with a direct port kit.

If you just want to go fast while you get all your turbo stuff, go with the NX Wet Kit.

Either way get a tranny swap.

Get NX and look into a used turbo Eclipse fuel pump.

Direct post is nice, but way too much work for just 75 shot on a stock engine. I woudn't bother with direct port unless you plan on building your engine for nitrous and will be spraying serious shot.

Wet kit with upgraded fuel pump and 2 stages colder plugs should take up to 100 shot.

Tranny swap I have saved for the summer when I have plenty of time to get the parts and get help from my mechanic. Of course I'm swapping the tranny. And yes, I am doing this as an alternative so I will definitely look into a direct port kit. I might even try a 60 shot if I don't go with direct porting. And I think OP is right. I'm overdue for tranny maintenance, so hopefully I can drop in a cooler while I'm at it as well to keep that tranny working till the summer.

How big of shot would be ok for 13:1 comp pistons or would that just be pushing the limit? Before some says go turbo I really cant have lag and a super no ones gotten real power from and my gas milage woud be horrible.

I'm selling an NX Wet Kit with everything you would need but a bottle heater if you are interested.
