Default How NOT to use nitrous (new beta engine dry kit setup)

well, i've been doing some reading lately... and i found some interesting articles on some mustang magazines....

this brings up the topic of the new returnless fuel system found on the new beta motors...

how can we install a dry nitrous system if there is no fuel pressure regulator that can be tapped into right under the engine bay ?

well, there is a way to make a dry kit work on these cars... here is the trick....

1. you'll have to change the injectors to a bigger size.. i would say no less than double the flow rate..

2. install the dry kit using the typical throttle switch setup (skip the vacume lines and the nitrous pressure regulator is not used)...

3. spray the day away.

the only major problem with this kind of setup is that the car will run GROSSLY rich when not on the nitrous... this is a side effect of the bigger injectors...

solution to this problem is simple...

1. install Apexi SAFC. Problem solved. be sure to set it to full rich when Wide Open THrottle is reached...

there you have it folks... ENJOY.

No, that doesn't work.

The S-AFC is a constant-on device and has no way to "understand" nitrous. Unless your nitrous is on ALL THE TIME, then it will not work.

You cannot fix it this way. You'll have to find something else.
