Default Fused bottle blanket

I bought a bottle blanket but it didnt come with a fuse. I was to make sure it has one as protection. Whats the best way to add one to it? I was thinking maybe just an inline fuse on the power wire. Should it be a certain distance from where I tap the power from or can I keep it close to the blanket by the bottle?

Closer to battery does = better but over 20 feet it shouldn't really matter.. As long as the fuse blows when/if it needs to is all that matters.

IASCA and I recommend fuses close to the battery because of the extreme worst-case: a short to ground somewhere before the fuse could burn your car down. As long as we're talking about calculated risks...
