I have been reconsidering using nitrous in my car. There is a guy locally that is selling a NOS brand direct port nitrous kit on ebay and it got me thinking about direct port. I would be porting it into an R*Side airram. I went to Nitrous Express and NOS websites and saw that there direct port systems are at the minimum 100 shot. I would rather start off smaller than that so a little searching and I found out that the ZEX EFI direct port kit starts out at a 50 shot. What are the advantages and disadvantages to this kit? Would you recommend starting out with direct port?

Please note: I used the abreviation NOS since I am talking about the kit sold by Nitrous Oxide Systems. tongue.gif

if you get the jet kit, i believe you can start out at a 80shot with the nx. you go 20/per cylinder.

i just dont trust zex...i dunno why really. it may be because you have more control over what you want to do with the nx and nos systems.

Java, you can go as low as a 50 shot as long as you have the jets for it. Jet kits usually come with 4 of every pill, so you can use it in a 4cyl direct port kit.

I gathered all I found and made a sticky on HP but can you do the same here: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=11070

Yeah, I did not realize you could go down to a 50 shot with the NX direct port kit. I would prefer to use the NX kit anyways.

Next time, don't hesitate to call NX. They have awesome customer service and will recommend jets for everything. They were the ones that told me the sizes for all the DP shots and how low you could go.

Yea I agree with NX customer support... one of the best companies I've contacted and dealt with, although I never ended up getting the product.
