This site is freakin awesome. I have a 2001 tibby. everything is stock as of right now. It's hard to put money in a car when the insurance rate on it for a 16 year old is $275 a month and minimum wage is my game.

ah yes, i remember those days. not fun, but it will change faster than you think. welcome though man, and look at your inability to purchase anything extra in a good way. when you eventually get the funds to start buying stuff, you will have already weeded out what you should & shouldnt get by reading through the forums.

may i suggest looking through the "Listing" in the DIY forums. tons of approved DIYs in there that cost next to nothing to do. also, look at the FAQ in the new users section, and generally, every sticky in all the forums. wink1.gif

have fun.

Indeed Mr. Redz. Although Rule Numero Uno is hard for Ham to follow sometimes... just no racing in traffic for god sakes. Don't need a splattered teenager in a Tibby on the news.

But yep, check out the DIY section. You can do plenty of things to the car on a minimum budget. Amazing what a few spray paint cans and some taste in color can do to accessorize your car. There are plenty of minimum budget performance mods as well. Check it out. wink1.gif

Amen to that. The bottom line is have fun with your car, do what you want with it. After all, it IS yours. All the time I get people wanting to race my car.. it's just stupid. I baby my car so much, haha. I don't want to potentially have an accident or mess something up by driving too fast. Just be careful man, and enjoy your stay.

heh, it comes sooner than that. I was paying roughly the same amount as you when I first started driving the tib. now, at 20, it has gone down to 160 a month. it pays to have no points(thank you court for that one ticket removed wink1.gif ). fing02.gif
