Okay, I have what is probably a stupid question.

I have a '99 Tiburon and for the life of me I can't figure out where the ECU (or ECM as Hyundai seems to refer to it as) in either webtech or the factory service manuals I have.

The factory manuals seemed to indicate it was under the drivers side dash, but all I could find under there was the control unit for my tranny (yes, I have an autotragic).

Any help would be appreciated!

Oh, and I already tried a search of this site and couldn't find anything.

well if your question was bad... then Ill join ya...

Are those ECUs in the same place (or close to it) as the second gens? Under the panel below the steering wheel?

tibby01: what exactly am I looking at in the picture there? Is that the drivers side? If so, by the picture it looks like the ECM is above the fuse box?

x7xstring: Thanks for the welcome, good to be here. Saw your write up of your shocks/springs. I gotta get me some. smile.gif

exactly, that rod in the very rightmost part of the pic is your steering column.

Thanks! I'll go rummage around under there now and hopefully come up with it! smile.gif
