I currently do not own a Tiburon, but I am in the market for one

Hello All, I picked up a 2001 Tibby tonight. Manual tranny with 96K miles, car appears to be flawless and I'm very happy with my purchase.

I'm looking forward to learning more about my tibby from everyone here on this site.

Thanks. So far it looks like the previous owner installed an open intake, and a short shifter. I am thinking probably upgrading the exhaust - a cat back would be great. So far I have not really seen any made for the 00 - 01 Tibby. I did find this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tiburon-Ela...A1%7C240%3A1318 Anyone have any thoughts or input on this kit?

I have that exhaust. It works great but its just a bit on the loud side if u care or not.

Thanks, I will work on the pics on my next day off. I think I will go with this exhaust, I just wish there was a way to tone down the volume without compromising performance.

I went with a custom exhaust after all. I installed 2.5" piping from the cat to a magnaflow muffler with a resonator in between. The new setup is extremely quiet, no louder than the stock setup. Performance wise I do feel a little more power from mid to upper RPMs.

I definitely recommend going with a magnaflow muffler for those looking to better their exhaust flow without the obtrusive noise levels.
