Got a 1998 Tiburon in November 2005 and have been making it mine since.. I posted on a forum and was treated with utter contempt for being a "ricer".

Anyways, thankfully before I got too vexed one of your users came to my rescue and defense and sent me here, so here I am. smile.gif

My car is a white 98 tib FX (it's the ratfink one) and has chrome tail lights, has been ever so slightly lowered, has non stock rims (15" I dont want the ride rougher than is) and a few subtle exterior mods.

I didnt want it too blingy, not at my age (32) so kept it plain thus far.

I have also fitted racing seats and harnesses, a 04 infinity DIN unit (only a small ammount of chopping reqd to do this) and have uprated all the speakers and added my beloved triangular bazooka subwoofer.

Under the hood I have left things pretty basic with the exception of a CAI and some NGK quad platinum plugs and magstar wires smile.gif

So that's about it really, I would post some pics of the car but I dont see the function button.. Ill try and get some uploaded elsewhere so you can tell me it's the ugliest car you have ever seen.

Really, there really are some bumholes out there man, I wouldnt mind but the guy who said that drove a Nissan.

I'll be around south NJ this summer as a friend of mine (also a fellow tib owner) has been nagging and nagging me to join his club.

I think it's called over the edge customs.. not sure..

Anyways my tib still has some minor cosmetics needed before I will feel confident taking it to shows and stuff, namely the woman who owned it before my cousin used to close the tailgate with her rings on mad.gif

Mind you I got lucky with a white car but I wont do what my friend used to do and bust out the white out lmao.gif

I also have a lovely hoof print from a deer that jumped out in front of me late last year, lesson learned folks, NEVER flash high beam xenons at a deer in mating season, they see it as a challenge...

Apart from the little scratches which should be easy to fix I also have to paint in the bottom of the right hand fender, my cousin tried driving it to work when he owned it in the snow and learnt that it has all the finesse of a ice skater on the snow.. spun it around and smacked into a pile of icey plowed snow and twisted the fender in 02.gif

Its ok tho, I straightened it for him and done some bondo work and it's all lined up and straight, it just needs some painting.. I have used my cunning here as I have decals to go right over where the line between the paint will be laugh.gif

Other than that it's just adding in the custom house of kolor kameleon plate frames I made last summer and general tidying (dont you just hate people who dont look after their cars?) and Ill be pretty confident.

One thing I cant do much about right now is the (seemingly popular) 'scabies on the front bumper paint hyundai trademark ©' but I want to eventually get the bumper, hood and front fenders pro painted.

I was thinking about doing some serious house of kolor work but after what happened to my last car I think Ill not bother.

Dump trucks eh? gotta love em (not). I painted my car (92 taurus) with HOK raspberry pearls and it shifted from black to pearl red.. it looked stunning.. until a dump truck came the other way and a large rock fell off whacking into the fender, scraping along and then smashing into the side mirror..

Never again, fixing pearl is impossible 02.gif

Got a little thing goin on too... My 2 friends both drive tibs (tom an 01 and Ry has a 04 tuscani job) so it looks proper bo when we all go over to Ry's and set up tiburon row laugh.gif we're gonna get one of them tiburon drive signs and nail it to the tree in the parking lot.. just to vex out another guy that lives there and drives a ford LTD.
