Hi! My name is Dan, I currently live in San Diego, CA (Imperial Beach) and just bought myself a 2001 Tiburon and am really liking the car and am wanting to do alot with it. The car had ~65k original miles on it, fully loaded with all leather interior.

Here are some pics of the car. The pic was taken on Camp Pendleton MCB... I have taken the dealer plate off the front tongue.gif I need to take new pics of the car but oh well. And just so you dont get confused I work for General Dynamics as a Contractor on Camp Pendleton and am not a Marine tongue.gif

if you don't have plans of getting an intake anytime soon, do that DIY. it helps w/ throttle response, and also you will have to do that anyways when installing a CAI, so you might as well do it now. its a piece of cake. plus, the resonator is fvckin ugly

Thanks for the info. I am going to do the DIY tommorow when there is some light in the sky. I am going to install a CAI asap and new plugs and wires. In about 1.5 months I am going to get a body kit and get the car painted. Shortly after that I am going to get a carbon fiber hood and spoiler and new mirrors. Something else I want to have done with it is my sunroof be modded into a retractable moon roof.

what do you contract? I'm in the army on sheppard air force base in texas right now. Nice clean looking tib you got there. What did you pay?

Getting it fixed this weekend actually. And I paid 10,500 for it smile.gif

 

10500? eek. a bit much. i paid that much for my tib in 2002, and it had 11k on it.

i don't think you should have paid more than $7500... $8000 maybe for it.

 

I wasnt really complaining because my credit went to shit because of a medical bill 02.gif They got me approved on a loan so thats all that mattered. I was getting sick of paying way too much money for the rental car I had even though I liked that 2005 Mustang Convertable.
