I know someone who is selling a 01 Tiburon, it is blue and has the moonroof, leather, cd, and is a 5 spd. It has 50K mi. on it. He is asking $6000 for it but might come down since the windshield is cracked and the warranty doesn't transfer. The only problems with the car are like i said the windshield is cracked and needs replaced and there is paint scraped off of the front bumber and the rear bumper is loose. Is this a good deal? The sooner the reply the better. Thanks

 

The warranty will transfer. If you are a family member, you will get the remainder of the 10 year, 100k mile. If not, both powertrain and bumper to bumper will become 5 year/60k mile warranties. Sounds to me like a good deal, there are a few 01's around here at the dealership for 7-9k.

 

can you tell me what the realiblty is on a tiburon maybe compared to a civic?

I think the price is now $5500.

 

I have had no issues with my 99 and have owned it for 2 years now. The only thing that went wrong was my battery died, and my cat converter went bad, but that was an aftermarket product I had installed. My favorite with the Tib is that not everyone has a Tib, let alone a customized one. You see dozens of Civics a day! Read through the forums a little, you'll see what a dedicated fan base Tiburons have.

You'd be suprised how good they can be with the warranty, I am the second owner of mine and they are honoring the full warranty for me.
