I Hope This Passes Moderation
There is no problem with you having an opinion on this website. The problem is when you, as a new member to this website, put down all Tiburons and start generalizing. I assume you hate my car because it has pearl in the paint, silver rims, clear corners, and an "alien" body kit. Wanna know a secret? Your opinion of my car won't make me change ANYTHING on it, and I'll still be taking home the trophies at the car shows and showing you the door.
I'm curious on where you live?
Your preference of black wheels is fine. It may look nice on some cars, but I wouldn't be so quick to say silver wheels don't look good on Tiburons, or that black would look good on anything.
Your post shows your ignorance and maturity level. I was debating on whether or not to ban you for a few days, but I know that wouldn't accomplish anything. The ban wouldn't be because I disagree with you, but your obvious disrespect for the people on this website and their opinions and styles. Not everybody likes my body kit. I do. I had it before it got popular and all of the fake replica kits were out there. Little high school kids such as yourself wouldn't make me change a thing about my car.
When you have put the elbow grease, money, and time into your own car and after you've made it something, maybe then you can talk like a big boy, but until then, you have nothing to back yourself up, and no reason to bash on anybody elses Tiburon here.
There are several very nice, clean, and subtle body kits out there, and some very nice looking Tiburons on this website. This website COULD be something very helpful for you, both in ideas, knowledge about which products work well and which companies to trust, and first dibs on new designs and products for our cars at a huge discount. Please use this site for what it's meant for, to build a community of Hyundai owners and to share ideas, suggestions, and help to fellow members. I don't want to have to ban you, because there is a possibility you have a lot to learn from this website.
If you don't like what we've done to our cars, then design your car the way you would like it to look. Add the performance that you think it needs and that would benefit the engine the most. You come up with a combination of what performance you can get with the right amount of money. Don't burn your bridges too early, or you won't be able to get help from those who can really help you. People here do things for themselves. People here take the time to install an exhaust setup, or headers, or convert their car from a 1997 to a 2001 and the people here KNOW their cars. You have no clue the information and knowledge some of the people here have.
Therefore, I suggest you sit back, keep your mouth shut, and learn something. You obviously know nothing about your own car, and personally, I think you need some help with understanding styles, schemes, and what looks good with our cars.
I personally can't stand the JDM look. People do stuff to resemble the Japanese trends and it has no functionality to their car at all. I personally can't stand what some of the civics and integras have done to the show scene. I travel to car shows, participate in events, and am active in the local shows and races. When you get some experience under your belt and start working on your car, then maybe you can tell us what looks good and what would be best for OUR cars. But until then, stay in school, and keep your mouth shut. Learn from those who can teach you.

Soon body kits/lights wont be wining shows anymore.... Quote me on this, give it a year and see how styling will change. "JDM styling" (lip, wheels, wingless, etc) has already started owning shows and will keep growing.
PS: dont get me wrong, im not on l3fth00k's side

I agree. JDM can look nice if dont right, but it's RARELY done right. I have friends with 240sx's with Silvia conversions and who really do work on their cars and make them top notch. I just wish NOPI would stop giving points for aluminum wings rolleyes.gif It does, however, depend on the car, and the location. The California car shows are highly influenced by JDM in my opinion, and tend to have more high-end cars (hummers, mercedes, etc.). Here in the south, it's all imports. You do have to keep in mind that there are classes, and making a Tib look JDM just isn't the easiest thing to do (while keeping it clean looking).
Lefthook - just curious, how much money are you planning on putting into your car? Total amount of cash that's possible (considering your age and how much money you make) over the next 3 years or so?
