Hi everyone!
I've been lurking on this forum for a while and I thought I should make my first post smile.gif My name is Radu, I'm 22, originally from Romania, but I'm going to college in MA (Cambridge). Me and my girlfriend recently bought a 2000 RD2, and we love it.
We bought it in decent shape, and I've started working on different small things on it. I replaced the CD player (there was already an aftermarket DIN installed, I just had to change the wires and replace it). I also painted the wipers which looked horrible, and replaced a couple of turn-signal bulbs which were faded.
I installed an AEM CAI and I am very pleased - although unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the install myself. I got the stock intake out (eventually) but I couldn't open the two screws on the bottom of the car to get access to where the filter goes in (damn Boston weather and road salt). It was pretty hard to work on it on the street, and I had really crappy tools, so I took it to the mechanic - drove it with the AEM filter stuck directly on the intake, stopping every block to check if it's still tight lmao.gif
I didn't do much else because of the cold weather outside, but as soon as it's warmer and I have some time, I want to clean the engine bay and repaint the battery tray. I also need to somehow remove all the rust from around the rotors and form the calipers, they look really bad. Not sure what's best to use for that, but I'll try searching more on the forums. Basically for now I just want to make it look as good as I can without changing too much on it, wouldn't have the money even if I wanted to change a lot smile.gif
Glad to be here, and sorry for the long post smile.gif Oh, here are some pictures:

PS I hope it's ok to link to picasaweb, rules seemed to allow such links. If so, I recommend picasaweb for any pictures, it makes it very easy for viewers to browse through the pictures.

I wish smile.gif I had just gotten it washed (and polished a little) before I took those pictures. It's ok, but there are a lot of scratches and other stuff on it. But overall, it looks pretty good.. Also, my left fender and left side of the front bumper have some bends in them, I don't really know how/where to get that fixed, but I'll find out eventually.
Thanks everyone smile.gif

Nice.
