HELP PLEASE!
 

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A REPLACEMENT FOR A FUEL PRESSURE REGULARTOR FOR THE ELANTRA 2.0 yr 2001. IT´S BEEN IMPOSIBLE TO LOCATE IT. THE PIECE HAS A THIS CODE FPR801, BUT NO ONE APEARS TO KNOW WHERE TO FIND IT... MY CAR IS ABOUT TO COLAPSE, CUZ THERE IS NO ENOUGHT FUEL IN THE ENGINE CUZ OF THAT PART!!!

WHAT CAN I DO?

http://www.allhyundaiisuzuparts.com/ has full fuel pump assemblies that contain the in-tank fuel pressure regulator for $65.

I don't think the fuel pressure regulator is available on it's own, and if you got it I don't think it's intended to be serviceable

If it's like my Accent (which it may or may not be) the FPR is built in to the fuel pump assembly with the fuel level sender, etc.

Dealerships also have these on order.

Its like my Elantra and its on the fuel rail right under the hood.

I might have one for a 2.0. I'll check in the parts bins...

That link is for a 2000, which has a Beta 1 motor and a return style fuel system. The '01 is a Beta 2 and returnless.

You'll notice Parts Geek doesn't have a listing for an '01 regulator. This is because it's only sold as part of the pump assembly because it's in-tank.

Dammit my brain is frazzled. I don't know why I thought it was a 2000. Oh, yeah I do it's because I was looking at buying one. Whoops.

So yeah, it's in the tank just like in my Accent according to Webtech (when I look at the right year) and you will need the whole sending unit/pump assembly.

All returnless fuel systems on the Hyundai have the regulator built into the fuel pump/sending unit assembly. It is right above the fuel pump on the XD and HD Elantras. On my spare engine, which I have run on an engine dyno, I'm using a modified stock fuel pump assembly. What I changed was the actual pump itself which on that one is a Walbro 190.

To buy the regulator, you need to buy the entire fuel pump and sending unit assembly. Make sure it is the regulator. You might have a bad pump.
