Default Hello Everyone

Hello,

I found this site when searching for Tiburon stuff online. After signing up and reading some posts and the FAQ I have discovered that it is dedicated to Tiburons prior to mine. Do you allow late model Tib owners to hang out here? smile.gif

I bought a 2004 GT V6 with 6-speed in dark blue last Sept. It was the very first car sold by our brand new Hyundai dealership a couple days after it opened. So far I love the car. Great styling, and good performance and an innate sense of quality usually reserved for much more expensive vehicles.

The only modifications so far are the new wheels and tires required after the stock ones were stolen when the car was 6 weeks old. I replaced them with a set of 17" Konig Imagines and Toyo Proxes. (...and a car alarm with motion detectors)

Our local drag strip opens next Saturday for test and tune and I plan to take it down there and see what kind of times I can get. The thought of that and the nice weather coming up have got me thinking about Cold Air Intakes and Exhaust systems, among other things.

Are there any other '03-'05 V6 Tiburon owners on here that have information or advice on CAI and exhaust systems? I have looked at the Injen and AEM CAI and Borla, Greddy, Injen (Injen had a sound clip) and ARK exhaust systems but am not ready to buy an exhaust system until I have heard a sound clip or a real life car. I don't want a "fart can" sounding exhaust.

Well, I guess that is quite enough for a first "introductory" post. I am looking forward to talking with you all!

Thank you for pointing me to that other site, its exactly what I am looking for.

I had bookmarked this RD site back in Sept right after I purchased the car and tonight I was going through the sites I bookmarked and decided to join... before checking around to see what else was out there. smile.gif (after my initial post I had googled "tiburon forums" and saw that other site but hadn't gone to it yet when I saw your reply)

I will still check in here later and share the drag strip times after I get some, in case anyone is interested in that.

Welcome to the site. Even though you have a GK, there are still other forums that are entertaining that you can check out such as the off topic, other car, and member's only.
