Hello my name is Kelly

Thank you for putting this site together.

I have just bought a stock 2000 Tib that has its coils cut and want to trick it out. My car is red with black leather. It needs some work but it is a good place to start.

I am over 40 male and Married, Live in Vancouver Wa. and love to drive. I have always liked the look of the 2nd gen tib and desided I want one so here I am.

Hope to get to know a lot of you and I want to hear about what can be done to the tib, as I said I love to drive so how the car handels is my top priority, then I want a body kit, then go to engine mods. (turbo)

Thank you for having me!

Welcome! Thanks for being one of the first new users in the past few days who actually knows what the word INTRODUCTION means.

First off, you want to upgrade the suspension, but you cut your springs!???? Don't ever cut your springs...replace those asap, that leads to a WORSE ride/handling, and is dangerous. Ever seen a car literally BOUNCING up and down the road as it goes over small bumps? That's what happens months after you cut your springs.

You can get some very nice lowering springs for a pretty good price. I think I got my H&R's for under $200, shipped. 1.5" drop.

Welcome man, glad to have you. definitely upgrade the suspension. like zoned said, new kits aren't bed, but if you have the money get the eibach full suspension kit. anti-roll bars, bushings, coil-overs and everything for like 2K. it's kinda high priced but well worth the money spent. koni sport shocks and struts are pretty hot too. anyways, welcome and check the forums for more than you ever wnated/ needed to know about tiburons.

btw, just for reference, you have what's known as an RD2 so you avoid confusion when buying stuff or looking at DIY's.

Welcome!

I never seen the coilovers you're talking about, but I do have H&R coilovers on my car, and it is by far my favourite mod on the car...

it's a must in my eyes. Great quality too...

If you don't wanna pay so much, simply get some struts (koni's or others) and eibach or H&R lovering springs. you'll love your NEW car.
After that get an "anti-roll kit" meaning, sway bars. and some strut tower braces. front and rear.
Polyurethane bushings are also a good uprage to these ord rubber ones

If you'll want more, I reccomand a Quaife LSD. Only then you'll forget it's a FWD.

Well We are just a few hrs away from each other. nice tib you have there. Thank you for the welcome.

What body kit is that on your tib?

Are there any tib owners in the Portland OR/Vancouver WA area?
