HI, my names Chris I have a 2001 automatic Tiburon, and i'm looking to do some mods. I have some knowledge about mods, but any and all input will be greatly appriciated. A friend at work races's motor cross at some abandon track down cape cod and he always askes me to go with him and have some fun, so i justed wanted to know what i should do before i go and get my feet wet. If I bought a T2 turbo kit with intercooler and all that stuff would i shatter my transmission? or blow the engine i don't plan on using more than say 6-8 psi.

please list "and all that stuff" so we can see your "kit."

Did you buy from a supplier on-line or locally part by part?
Who is going to do the install? Generally if you have to ask how to install you shouldn't attempt to install the entire turbo kit (and internals if you plan on it) yourself. You friend maybe can help, if he is turbo-ed himself.

And AFFORDABLE. LOL, I dUn No HowE Dey DO The-Eengs ArOuNd MASS-A CHOO Sets, but yea....

You should definitely consider a manual swap, but with the psi you mentioned you should be fine. If you're going for high HP numbers and lots of boost, it may be a good idea. Our trannies are that great but should hold low to medium boost without an issue. I think a member on here was pushing 17psi on his auto. How long it was going to last and what he had done, dunno.gif but.....

Oh and if you could clean up your spelling and grammar a bit it might make it easier to read your thread. I got lost a couple times there. Nobody is perfect obviously, but it helps...... wink1.gif lmao.gif

Welcome to the site!

Although swapping to a manual would be your best bet, you can invest money into an i/h/e setup and still love the power it gives you.

Welcome to the site and Spart's right, getting a tranny swap will probably be the best thing you could do at this point.
