Is your radar detector hard wired?
I bought this mirror mount and hard wire kit for my V1

That blend mount is really nice! I have one of these little $5 thingies
It slides into the detector and sticks to the windshield. It's permanent but I used one in the tib and it comes off easily with some heat if I ever need to remove it for some reason. My detector is hard wired too, and the wires go up into the headliner and down the a-pillar to the fuse box.
