I've got power at fuse 14(audio) in the dash. I've got power at fuse B/Alarm(audio) under the hood. I don't have battery power at the connector to my sterio. I am having problems finding the fuse 18 and "dedicated fuse" this page refers to. Fuse 16 is the last one in my stack in dash. 17 is unused. 18 is non-existant. Is it an inline fuse somewhere? I need help finding the radio fuse

inside by your left foot, closest to the dead pedal homie should be the secound row #13 i think. or check on the back side of the deck itself if its oem deck. there is no other fuses that i know of..

both are good. There is also one under the hood. there must be another one. It says there is in the book. I'm off to search some more for the mysterious hidden fuse.

there are no inline fuses stock. they would be to hard to find for the average driver.

whenever i cant find a fuse, i check them all.

what you might try before you speed 5 hours looking for a fuse is pull out the radio and disconect the battery. Now use a multimeter to check continuity from the power to the radio (red wire) to the + battery cable. This way you can make sure your not just looking for a fuse you've already checked. Because I agree with jon, if you've checked under the hood, the ones under the dash by the dead pedal, and on the back of the radio there shouldn't be anything else.

btw, if you don't have a multimeter you can make a continuity tester out of a battery, light bulb (christmas light), and some wire.

found the fuse. it looks completly normal, but is burned out right at the side, straight line up and down. it was the b/audio fuse in the box under the hood. wouldn't have found it without my light tester.

you use a light tester? bleh. tongue.gif

yeah, it's a probe that you hook to ground and can stick into the plastic shielding around wires. It's got a sharp needle, or you can put on the cap and have a dull fuse tester. it works well to find signals you're looking for in a vehical. lights up between 6-15 volts.
