Kind of like how it looks. Adds a little touch of class to it, IMO.

It looks pretty good and simple, but I'm thinking stuff would probably slide around a lot.

I actually really like that! Do it in a high grade flooring, then get that rug padding/antislip and put carpet over the top. Then things won't slide around. Can be used as a regular trunk most of the time, but then pull off the carpet and padding when you go to a car show.

I almost never put anything in my trunk. The only thing in there now is my small box with an 8" sub. That I could easily pin down so it doesn't move around.
