tach/shift light/gauges questions!!

I have a few questions for everyone. wink.gif I have an 01 Tib and wanted to get either the tach w/ shift light or just the shift light. Since I have a tach already in my dash, I'm not quite sure if I would need a tach with a shift light, or just the shift light. The tach that I would want would be the 5" inch face. Does this even fit and look good?? Then they have just the shift light, and that is considerably cheaper. How does that work? I'm guessing that it works with your existing tach right? The tach with light is running me about $185 where just the light is running me about $65. It says that it requires a RPM module. What is the purpose of that and how does it connect?
I basically want to get out with what would suit me better, price wise and accuracy wise. I'm also thinking about getting the smaller guauges for the pod, would these have anything to do with that extra module?
Shew, that's alot of questions. rolleyes.gif

The maker of the tach/shift light would/should be able to answer all of your questions.

In my opinion, cars WITH stock tachs look damn stupid with that 5" monstrosity on the dash. It just screams "RICER" to me.

You should be able to splice into the stock tach signal for the shift light, you need the RPM module to set what RPM the light comes on at (if you don't get their tach)

Random, thanks for helping. I also don't like the look of tach when you have one all ready in your dash, but I didn't know if the light would be compatible with my existing tach. Guess that's where the module comes in to play. wink.gif Good luck to me! :D
