Default sunroof light

Does anybody know about those lights that peeps have in there cars at the sunroof? I want one that has a battery in it so I don't have to mess with wiring and that I can get in red. Any ideas?

Hey Random, I guess I didn't explain the light very well. It's actually a tube light (like the kind that street glow sells) that just goes up at the front of the sunroof. I don't want one that has to be plugged into the lighter socket. I've heard that they make them battery operated and that's what I'm looking for and in red. Know where I can get any?

Nope, Are you talking between the windshield and the front edge of the sunroof, around the edge of the sunroof, ON the sunroof panel it self, or between the rear edge of the sunroof and the rear hatch wind0w.

You should be able to produce whatever DC current a "plug in" model wants with the right battery combination.

Stupid question...How are you going to mount a light there and not bonk your head into it? Where would the battery pack go?

I had battery operated black lights in the back my last custom truck. They sell them here at Spencer's sometimes, but I haven't seen the neons, plus they are pretty big for putting on near the sunroof.

well I just saw another one tonight in a mustang. rolleyes.gif Anyway, to answer your question Random, it's to go on the front edge of the sunroof and I would make sure not to bonk my head wink.gif It's actually really small from what I've been able to see so I don't think that it would be a problem. I guess I'm just gonna give up on that idea for the time being until I get the chance to roll up to somebody at a light that has one. Thanks for the help though
