Default Single 12 or dual 10's

Im looking to add some thump in my truck and Im having trouble on choosing whether I should have a single 12" PPI or dual 10's. The 10's have a little lower power handling but would 2 of them move more air than just one 12? Anyone on here went from one to the other or vice versa? And were you happy with it?

two 10s is about the same amount of air moving as one 12. I have one 10 in my car and it's more than enough.

I went from 2 10s to 1 12. Still sounds good, but I miss my 10s. If I had to do it over again, I would have kept the 10s. FYI, went from 2 Alpine type r 10s to 1 Alpine type r 12.

Why isn't 4 15's an option?

And here I am rocking just a single 8" in a small bandpass box. Sure ass hell wont win any sound competitions, but there's no rattle on the outside, takes up hardly any room in my trunk and it sounds fine for me on the inside. My front and rear speakers are upgraded too running off a 4 channel amp. So the SPL isnt there, but the sound quality is A+++++.

For a short time, I had 2 12's and I listen to rock mostly. Sounded good and was more than I needed.
