Owners manual in glovebox
Ive never kept my owners manual in the glove box. I keep it inside my house where all my automotive receipts and paperwork is kept. I dont really see a reason to keep it in the car but those who do maybe you can explain why you do it?

what if you need some info from the manual when you're out on the road? Just seems logical to keep the manual for the car IN the car. :dunno:
I work in HVAC and I HATE IT when the customer takes the manual and files it away somewhere. I always end up waiting around while they search for it (sometimes the wiring diagram for the equipment isn't on the door and I require the manual) The manual needs to be with the appliance at all times, and in some cases it's code/law that the manual is with the appliance. /rant |

Smart phone But I keep mine in the glove. For that same reason too. |
If you have multiple cars, it's easy to confuse what spark plug or lug nut torque to use. The manual knows, and it's right there where you are doing the work.
|
You torque your spark plugs?

I read that and imagined someone with a huge tqwrench misreading the kg/cm as ft/lbs :lmao:

Mine are both kept in their Gloveboxes, the VW has a spot for it to go, the Hyundai just sits in the normal spot like every other car I've been in.

Mine is in the glove box along with other things like vehicle maintenance book and original brochure for the GK. It has came in handy being in the glove box.

I keep mine in the glove box too. Doesnt take up much room.

I have all the docs in pdf form on my S3. Leaves room in the glove box for gloves if I ever wore them.
