I did pos behind the fuse panel (cig lighter fuse turns on/off with my car) and ground to the bare metal anywhere (as long as it's grounded and hidden).

im telling you the best way is to run them to the battery and then go through the fire wall and your already behind the dash that way. and then just run the wires to desired switch location and then to the neons. its a little bit more tedious of a job but it keeps all the wires tucked away.

I say find a switched hot (only hot when the key is on) spot on the internal fuse box with a 10A fuse and go from there. If you go straight from the battery the lights will stay on if you turn the car off.

you cant kill your self with 12v my friend. you must have skipped high school science. and you cant even shock yourself. and if you wire them to switch they wont be on at all times. only when you want them to be.

I would suggests Cold Cathodes instead of Neons.. I've heard they last longer and are brighter.. I have them under my seats and i wired them to my fusebox.. i have no problems.. i got the cathodes from http://www.xoxide.com/coldcathodes.html incase you're interested.
