A couple of weeks ago a girl backed into my car and messed up the door a little. Surprisingly it wasnt totalled out from the insurance company and her insurance paid for it. The car was in the collision shop for about a week and I got it back 2 days ago. The whole inside smells like a paint booth since the car was inside their shop for the week. How long will the paint smell last before it goes away? Or am I stuck with this smell for a long ass time?

 

It should go away after a couple of weeks.

 

It'll fade. Just give it time and use some good car air freshener.

 

The volatile cheichals are off-gassing still. There is a finite supply of these and they will be finished soon. If you can park in a warm place with the windows cracked open a little, that will speed the process a little.
