Looking at this sub (can actually get it for 50% off through a hook up) but was wondering if anyone has any experience hearing them in either their car or someone elses. Are they good quality, or is Lanzar pretty bad?

Lanzar was good waaaay back in the 80's. I thought they went under. It's possible some other company bought the name.

 

I had Lanzar subs from 2002-2006. Had the same ones in 4 of my cars.. I loved them. they sounded really good and lasted quite a while, til my amp shorted out (also a lanzar) was a really nice D class amp too until the 'bass boost' connection popped off. haha.

 

Should be better than average by quite a bit, although I have no experience with their subs. Had good experience with their amps.
