0 gauge wiring kits
 

Why do I see different 0 gauge wiring kits rated differently, some at 1500,2500,3000



Is 0 gauge not 0 gauge? Maybe someone can be kind enough to explain this to me,



I hear some kits might not be truly 0 gauge, but yeah whats the deal with the different ratings?

Because wattage is not a real rating. Wire is not rated by anyone reputable by wattage. Amperage is what you need to worry about. How many watts it can handle is determine by the resistance of the wire per foot, the length of the wire and the efficiency of the load (your amp). Generally, 0 Ga. can handle about 150A.
