I was thinking about going and test driving one next week. Anybody here done it yet? What are your first impressions of them?

It was sluggish off the line and rear visibility through the rear view mirror was terrible (unless all you care about is the first car length behind the car). The massive pillar on the driver side makes for a huge blind spot as well. Nicely styled car and good features for a good price, but the aforementioned problems made it a deal breaker for me.

Didn't get a chance to test drive one yet, but have sat in one. It def looks much better in person I think, like 03-accent-03 said the rearward visibility is horrid. Maybe the turbo model will help in the acceleration department.

You get used to the rear visibility issue. I love mine and really happy I traded in my Accent for one.

Drove one last week, actually. For the most part I liked it: enough to write a review so two of my friends who're considering it had some ideas of what they were looking at. If anyone's interested feel free to take a read. It's long though, I'll warn you now. http://markramsden.wordpress.com/201...ndai-veloster/

Thank ya!

Styling is subjective, so I'm ok with that.

Just bought one, The visabilaty does take getting used to, but its not that big a deal, As far as take off, well, Im not drag racing from light to light so it takes off plenty fast enough. And the seats feel "Much" better than my 2010 Accent that had the "Most" uncomfortable seats I think I have "Ever" sat in.

Overall ,(SO FAR), I am "Very" happy with this car.
