Help
I need advice from people who have already put in the wrench time. What are the best rims to put on the car? Is a 66 mm ball bearing turbo too big? What's the best after market down pipe and exhaust? Has anyone really suped their car up? What parts did you use? How do I get more throttle response? Because when you just stop this thing to the floor it takes a second to actually launch. I want to start putting these Honda Civic owners and their places.

Best is subjective. There are thousands upon thousands of different styles and colors of WHEELS (not rims). It just depends on your budget and tastes. Take some time and learn about the different manufacturing processes of wheels so you can make a better decision on what type of you want and what your budget allows:

Depends on what else you plan on doing with your engine and what your HP goals are.
There is no best. They all do the same thing and the difference in power between them all will be minimal in which you wont really feel.
This site is called Hyundai Aftermarket with over 14,000 members who have come here to learn how to "supe" up their car. So yes...people do "supe" up their cars here.
Port and polish your intake manifold and throttle body. But remember, you have an electronic throttle...not a manual so there wont be a lot you can do to increase throttle response. Do a bunch of mods like intake, exhaust, tune, new FMIC and you'll be on good track to have what you desire.

You will need a retune for this. Drive by wire is a throttle response killer and the Veloster turbo is the second worse offender that I've ever driven.

My first impression of the Veloster Turbo was a review by a member here, who said they stepped on the gas and "the car didn't notice?".
