Seibon CF hoods
 

Anyone know the fitment of the Seibon hoods?

Trying to convince myself to throw down $600 for a hood. lol

Seibon is a large respectable company. I've heard many good things about their products. They're as good, if not better, than VIS



I say this never owning a VIS or Seibon product. I'm simply going from what I've heard/seen from others.

I agree with Majik.



However....... Unless you're going to hardcore mod your car and actually race it, I'd save some cash and get your OEM hood wrapped with CF vinyl.

seibon makes great stuff but I would like to add to the racing comment..



Even if you are racing, unless you get a REAL CF hood (much more than 600$) you aren't going to be doing much benefit, definitely not 600$ in benefit getting one of these FG hoods with a cosmetic CF layer.



a 'real' CF lightweight hood will run you around 1500-2000$ or more, easily. Again, only purpose at that point is for trying to shave every ounce off the car.



If I were to do any CF look again, I would probably use Di-noc wrap.

^ or if your turbo adds an extraordinary amount of heat to your engine may and you want something vented to help keep IAT cooler



even these CF hoods are saving 20 pounds or more. That's a lot on the front end of the car coupled with a few other things.

As for fitment, yes, they fit extremely well. Hollywood and Boston Red on Veloster.org both have the hood installed.
