Default White spots on rubber and black plastic after car wash

A brand new drive through car wash opened by me and I took my car through it yesterday. Immediately after exiting it my car had all these white spots on the rubber and on the black plastic trims. It wasnt easy to get off but I managed to get most of it when I came home. WTF caused it? Is there something on my car or was it soap that didnt get rinsed off? It was weird that it was only on the rubber and plastic. The rest of the car looked ok. What gives?

Probably hard water spots caused by chemicals the car wash puts in their water system.

^ This. The rest of the car has slick clear coat on it, and hopefully wax as well, so it wouldn't stay as much on the painted areas.
