...why a 4" tach
Stock tach not working good enough?

..

anyway, try doing a search. it's been talked about several times.

i'll be nice and tell you though, it is underneath the driver's side crash panel, above the clutch pedal to the left (you'll have to lie down and stick your head under there with a flash light to see it), it's a PITA to get to, and i think anyone who's ever taken it out has broken the little bracket, lol.

and good luck with the ricer tach.

Hey man, try not to quote the post above yours. Use the ADD REPLY button instead of the " REPLY button.

I suggest to remove your bottom crash panel before pursuing the ECU. It makes it slightly easier to get at. and isn't much more work.

If you have access to ratchet wrenches, I suggest using them. Good luck.

dont go to the ecu, you can get the tach signal off the wire running to the stock gauges. you will have to take off the dash, but it is seriously easier than trying to get the ecu harness off. when you pop out the cluster, its the harness on the right. pin number 4 on the harness, and it should be a white wire.

i too must frown upon the installation of the gigantotach though. wink1.gif

check the diy section in the stickied LISTING, there should be a diy on gauges that will show you how to disassemble your dash.
