Thumbs up Where can i get these parts ??

sup fellas, so i need a few more bits to have a mount ready suspension so i dont have to have the car in pieces for long durations of time as i will be putting the new suspension in, in basically a parking lot, so i need to get in and get out as fast as I can.

in the pic below, i need the SPRING LOWER PAD

and in this pic i need the SPRING UPPER SEAT ASSEMBLY, the UPPER SPRING PAD, and LOWER SPRING PAD

i have found the lower spring pads on ROCKAUTO, from Monroe, but i cant find the upper and the seat assembly

step 1: buy heater hose (3/8ths should work)

step 2: split heater hose in half

step 3: install onto spring

step 4: profit

I got some fuel line that actually slide over the spring. Trying to remember what size that was.... hmmm

With that you could be really weird and cover the entire spring. Make claims that it somehow helps the suspension.

I really wouldn't call that rigging. That pad is a flemzy ass rubber thing, but if you want stock, gotta go back to hyundai for that. Not enough of a market for the aftermarket guys to make flemzy ass rubber things.

Its just formed rubber, nothing more, nothing less

www.rockauto.com has the lower ones for $5.75 e/a for the front ones and $5.29 e/a for the rears.

thanks Scoupe, yea i saw RockAuto has them too. but not the top ones.

as for rigging it with a HOSE.... you guys really think its just formed rubber ? you think a peice of hose is going to last 100,000 miles ? come on... just cause its a Hyundai, dont doubt the engineering that went into it. if they thought just using a piece of hose on the end of the spring would be better than making a grommet that fits snug into place with little feet on it that fit through holes in the metal on the spring perch.... dont you think they would have just done that ??

seems like all the noobs are just throwing around stupid answers lately.... wtf !

The stock part didn't last 100k, why do you think I was even messing with replacing them?

That is good that rockauto has them, however I didn't feel like leaving my car on jack-stands to wait for them to come in or taking it back apart for that when I noticed the stock pads had fallen apart. At that time I didn't have a spare car sitting around. Now that I have two elantras it wouldn't be that big of a problem to let it wait on small stuff.

Really not sure what the point of the name calling was, but I hope the install goes well.
