Anyone know? I'm guessing its someone in the upper 20's (maybe even lower 30s) for highway, and mid 20's for city.

Before it became a toy, my Tib was regularly seeing 35-ish average, and that was auto.

I'm told that this is uncommon though. IIRC Majik said he got low-mid 20's in his old Tib.

I've seen mid 30's mpg numbers in my 5 speed, and that's without going to extremes. I bet if I was really careful, emptied all excess weight, and follow a truck without stopping for a full tank of all highway driving I could hit 40mpg.

I consistently saw 19-21mpg in my 2000 Tib, but on a road trip following another car at a constant speed limit pace, I saw high 30mpg. I think I remember hitting 400 miles on the trip and was afraid my gas gauge wasn't working, showing 1/4 tank. I filled up to verify.

It's all in how you drive it. I can get 30+ in my Genesis if I wanted to, but I see 17mpg daily. I bought it for a reason, and it wasn't the gas mileage.

17 in your GC??? Damn...how the hell are you driving it? I drive mine like I stole it and see 22-24 city consistantly. When Im easy on it, I see 24-27 city.

rolling hills all over middle Tennessee. I'm always going uphill or downhill, and when it's downhill I go back up eventually. 17.8-19.0 is normal after the tune and TBE. Before that I saw 20-21 normally. I need a dyno tune.

I also rarely drive slower than 80-85 unless it's rush hour. If I drive 60mph it's a significant increase in mpg

oyah, it's also auto

It has everything to do with driving style, until you start doing silly modifications.

I would say that mid 40s are possible from a Tib.

Mid 40's would be surprising, but if you REALLY tried, it might be possible.
