It's a 1 3/4 just like Jaws said; I had a chance to get under one at the Hyundai dealership while it was on the lift at the shop.

A 2.5" should be just fine on the 2.0 motors.

Red? 2.5 on a NA engine? My firend that got that, it was really almost too big. He went with 2.5 and a straight through muffler. On a dyno, he lossed 5 ft lb torque, and gained one horsepower. I had my exhaust done, with 2.25 plus a resonator (his was too loud, mine is a lot quieter) and i gained 1 ft lb torque and 2 hp. Amazing gains huh? But I didn't lose the torque like he did.

I remember a discussion back on HP that said for NA, 2.5 allowed part of the exhaust air to cool to fast, and it actually slowed down the exhaust on the way out.

I went with 2.25 and am happy with it. Minimal gains, the air filter did a lot more. But it has a nice low rumble, matches a viper sound, just quieter.

2.5" is perfect with the 2.0L Beta N/A.
I've noticed increased in torque when you have a CAI.
