Okay guys. I'm doing the whole N/A tuning thing -- here's my question. I've gotten an AEM CAI and MBRP Exhaust on my car. What do you guys think would be my next best move for more performance? Air Ram? Headers? Or.. something else? Let me know your thoughts. I plan on staying N/A long term.

Easy one, go for headers next. They will complement the MBRP exhaust well.

What's the best header for 0-60 time? 4-2-1? Where should I get one from? kSpec?

I would go for the "tri-Y" or the four-two-one style header... they are more set up for midrange power than the 4 to 1 headers are do better at the high end of the tach.
I would also get a good high flowing Cat.. not a "test" pipe.. but something from Car sound or another reputable seller. With an Auto, you want more torque than outright HP |
^^ Agreed. The header you choose is a tough decision nowadays... the OBX has a simple, effective design with thin walls for optimum heat. KSpec's racing headers are very similar, but will last a lot longer but have thicker walls. I'm sure the KSpec ones will sound better because of the thicker walls, but remember that means more heat loss. <_<

That was my next question. OBX versus kSpecs GT or racing headers.

Thinner walls will also loose more heat through the header itself. the thicker walled Kspec will send more heat down the exhaust system. Either way, I would get them ceramic coated. We got the great deal through the site, use it. |
Usually you could say that the longer the sleeve of the headers then the higher in the rpm they work best, the GT headers from kspec I am sure are very good, but you are going to sqeeze power out of them better on a manual because you can stay longer in high rpm's. I have the race headers on my car (manual) and ai am very satisfied with their performance, coupled to two glasspacks (one short and one 28") and a 2,5" press bend exhaust, it produces an increase in torque and a healthy higer range response. Also I am sure the thicker walls are responsible for a very nice sound, not buzzy at all.
