Vent In Trunk
Hey i search everywhere and couldnt even find a pic to show other people what i am talking about. there is a vent in the trunk on the driver side and i was just wondering where it vents to. Because it is crazy dusty all around it and i cant keep it clean

Your flaps are probly bad. You need new flaps. You can get them from the dealership. It prevents overpressure from popping out your windows when you close your trunk.
it does more than that. It is part of the "flow through" ventilation system all non-convertables have. Even with the vents closed, there is still always a small amount of air being pulled in and then passed through and out that little vent. Keeps the carbon dioxide from building up, making you loopy, and then killing you.
alex... he's talking about the trunk, not the air vents.
I think I remember seeing it when I replaced my bumper. It had foam around it, and I forgot to put it back on. dunno.gif
Not sure of it's purpose... maybe to prevent carbon dioxide or pressure as mentioned. Did you have to peel back the carpet to see it?

majik, read closer.
Hes saying that even with the air vents closed some air gets pulled into the cabin by the air getting pulled out of the cabin through the vent in the trunk
