Don't believe me? Look for yourself.

It'd be funny if it were true though.Though I do like the idea of a cleanable, reusable oil filter.

I do like the idea... but before I went with a filter that was supposed to always filter things as small as 35 microns from the oil.. I would put a bypass filter in to filter a small amount of the oil at that rate.

My questions is... how do you wash it out, would you just run it through the tap in the sink, or are you gonna need some special parts cleaner for it?

Seriously though, I don't see how this will yield any gain. If anything, it will protect the engine better IF it's claim is correct. Either way, Im skeptical.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it.

While the claims may be outragious... there are some sound reasons to get something like that.

It is easier on the enviroment.. after all, less waste is good, less hazardous waste is great! At least with that filter, you are not throwing a hunk of metal and filtering media into the garbage (I hope you are not doing that!) and letting it sit for the end of time to decay and pollute the earth and water.

It does look trick.. even if it can't be seen from above the engine in our cars (oh well)

Bad reasons for getting it:

Questionable quality. They obviously have hyped this up with several falsehoods in order to generate sales.. how come it was not selling?

Two seals instead of one. It seals up tight to the filter housing AND it has a removable end on it... that is an extra place for it to leak.

Now for their falsehoods.. while the proper oil CAN free up horsepower by lowering friction.. and dirty oil provides less protection from friction, there is no way a filter can ADD horsepower. It can extend the lubrication abilities of your oil longer.. but that is it.

bypass valve. yes, most cars have a bypass built into both the filter and the housing it is attached to. What they are not telling you.. the filter gets oil FIRST from the oilpump before it has had a chance to go through the pressure building parts of the engine. If any filter had to endure 40 or 60 psi, it would probably burst or at least tear it's filtering media.
