Ok so I got a CEL today, and haven't had a chance to get it scanned yet so I'll post the code when I get it. But I figured that I might be able to get a diagnosis from you guys anyway.

Right now it seems to run fine, the engine feels like its surging when I take off, or when its at idle, also its visibly shaking, it also smells like its running rich. Just changed the oil yesterday, and its changed regularly, also it has been extremely cold out lately and the past few days I've had to get moving with out letting the engine warm up completely.

I'm hoping this is a good enough description, and I'll post the code once I get it.

What type of oil you use? Prob wouldn't throw a light but meh.

I'd prob say TPS off hand its the gayest sensor I've ever come in contact with.

it could be anything, but get that cel scanned. that will reveal all. it's probably nothing bad. too early and to vague to define as of yet.

i'm sorry for the offtopic.gif but...

Arcy (and everyone),

I just wanna let you know that if you need a ODB code reader (for the future cel's, etc), i have them for sale for a very, very good price; i have recently dropped my prices as well. please take time to check my thread on it: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=20072

I believe that code readers are a basic "must have" tool that every car owner should have. This will save to the trip to autozone (or any other places that reads cel codes) and do your troubleshooting more quickly and efficiently

just let me know if you have any questions or concerns,

thanks so much...

Sounds like TPS, altho ive had a similar problem when a vacuum line rotted off, or when I accidently twisted throttle cable and didnt realize it after I put TB back on.

Had the code read today, it is a misfire on cylinder 1. Going to start with new plugs and wires, and see if that fixes it up.
