Anyone here willing to check something out on their sunroof for me? When you open the sunroof all the way, in the front of the opening(sunroof opening, towards engine) There is a chrome bar that goes the length of the sunroof. Is it supposed to come up, or stay down. Because the drivers side of mine stays down, like a spring is gone, and the pass side springs right up, and even if i push it down, it pops up again. If it is supposed to stay up, what is the problem with mine? springs perhaps? Is there a cheap place to get these?

Mine stays up on both ends. The paint on mine is what I can't get to stay down >.<

If you push it to the left or to the right and lube the track it will function correctly again. It was not designed well and binds sometimes. Just spray some silicone (yeah i use it for everything) lube and figure out if you need to bend it left or right to get it to even out.

Careful what you put in the tracks for lube....Silicone is good. I ended up buying a new sunroof (which is a lot better) because the tracks were gunked, which caused the gears to start stripping out. If you don't deal with this prob correctly, you will probably end up buying a new sunroof. I did all the searching and found that parts for this roof are no longer being made.... That's assuming they are all the same from factory. (Farmont something or other?)

put some grease on the tracks and if its not bouncing up then chances are the springs are either really old or worn out,

theres 2 screws that hold each side down (the shiny bar), and it should be underpressure do that spring you can see which is like exactly where that front most screw is, its directly under the shiny part on the sides, could try taking a toothbrush and cleaning it and lubing it lol, see if you can get it like that

my driver side stays down too. i was looking at it and it seems that the part with the 2 screws is bent.
