Strange Rattle/buzz
Ok, I have a troublesome rattling/buzzing coming from (i think) underneath the car somewhere. It happens in all gears between approx. 2700-2900 rpm. It doesn't happen when I rev the engine in neutral that I can tell, and if I stay between those rpms, the noise is constant. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe some kind of heat shield or something, but I am not sure. It does not seem to affect performance, but it is really annoying. Also, the noise is not very loud, unless I am driving next to a highway divider or another car.
please help!

well, I think the offending part fell (!) off of my car this morning...it is a half-cylinder shaped piece of metal about a foot long with "crooked h"H2UU15 stamped into the middle of it. It has lots of holes drilled it. Heat shield? Anyone?
I tried to check on Webtech, but my computer is being ghey.

Haha, funny this topic is made today. I've had the same problem, and I've figured out what it was exactly. The noise was constant for me too, but mostly around RPMs 2000-3000.. It's super annoying.
The noise was coming from the aftermarket exhaust rattling the license plate metal frame against the license plate cover. I have one of those smoked license plate covers and there's a metal frame around it, the noise was coming from the frame rattling against the cover at certain RPMs.
Maybe this isn't it, but I just thought I'd let ya know what fixed mine. I just tightend the screws in the frame and voila, noise is gone cool.gif
