Questions About Rare Parts

Wow it's been a while since I've been on these forums and I still see some of the same people active.

But to get to business, what would be some fair prices for some rare parts?

I have an Airram Intake Manifold with System Upgrade 65mm big bore throttle body (phenolic spacers for both the IM and BBTB) and A'pexi cat back (minus the cat)

I also have Kamaru Metal floor mats and an AEM cold air intake

To be honest, I'm not sure that there's still a market for these items, but what would you guys think would be a fair price for these items?

I saw someone posted up an Airram for 800 in 2017, but is that still a price people are willing to pay these days?

Thanks for your help in advance!

There's still a good number of people out there building RD's (you see a lot of them in Hyundai Facebook groups), so the market is there. As far as what people are willing to pay for rare parts...that's questionable. People who have been in the scene since day one know how valuable those parts are. The ones who are new or just getting into it, will be looking for super cheap stuff like ebay intakes for $20. lol

People are still willing to pay high dollar for the Airam, but there are not many who can still afford it. Willing, and able, are not the same. Hyundai owners are still broke now as they were 15yrs ago. I believe that other Airam is still available because the owner wants $800 and doesn't have a need to sell.

If you want to hold out for the max value and can wait, then $6-700 should do it. If you want to get rid of it quick, then $4-500 should find a buyer.

Even I'm in the market for an Airam, but never believed $800 was worth it because I've seen much better designs. I could fab a better one for less, so I'm willing to pay less.

Jon, what would you consider a better design?

short runners and room for more injector bungs or nitrous ports.

The AIIRAM has the place to put the direct port nitrous system on the back.

I can't believe that the Airram group buy only had like 10 buyers. It should have been 20 or 30.

^^Because we were all broke at the time!

LOL! I'd say if the older folks still have their cars, they probably finally have money to put into them. (I know because I AM one of those owners whose finances are in good shape now!) Those rare parts will still be worth some good coin. As long as you are patient enough to get the right buyer.

I have one, now I'm looking for another car to put it in LOL

hmm...800 for an intake manifold or

450 for wiseco pistons with money left over.

tough decision :cent:
